Along with being pregnant I get some realllly interesting comments. At first I thought, "Man, I must be extra sensitive". Then I realized if I heard those things and I wasn't pregnant I would be very offended and just because I am pregnant doesn't mean I want to hear them.
This blog post is not to call anyone out. For the most part the comments come from strangers and this is a place I can write about it and laugh. However, I will be really careful from now on what I say to someone who is pregnant. I get comments like:
"You are going to get soooo much bigger"
"How far along are you again?!?!"
People I don't know touching my stomach. *weird*
People I don't know telling me what I 'should' be doing to not get stretch marks. haha... *weird again*
When you think about comments or actions like that for women who are not pregnant it is soooo rude and out of line. Despite the fact that there is a little person in me it is still my body. I am just graciously sharing the space. :)
I was at a birthday party last night and my sister-in-law's grandmother said, "Wow, you only have 81/2 weeks to go! You look great and don't look like you have gained a pound anywhere else!" I felt like I could kiss her. :) I love to hear "You are glowing" (don't really get the pregnancy glow thing but don't mind the comment) I guess all of that to say there ARE alternative comments if you feel you must comment.
So, to the lady at Wal-Mart - I think I figured out that for me a few stretch marks are inevitable and I am doing what I can to help them. Thank you for your input. (or not) :)
Have you ever been pregnant? What is something shocking that someone said to you?

Say what?
I changed my blog look.... again. I know, I know, I just love change! :)
I am going to be buuuuusy this rest of week/weekend. Actually, I have already been busy this week. :p
Eh! It is scary when I type it all out. Needless to say life is busy right now. It is ok, we are going to celebrate our anniversary weekend May 22nd and it will be a WONDERFUL escape.
….wait. Did I just say I was going to celebrate my anniversary weekend soon? That means I have almost been married for 1 year. People, this is CRAZY!
You might be interested to know:
1.) I plan to take pictures this weekend.
2.) I plan (hope!) to post them on here at some point. We all know people like pictures!
3.) Since I do not have a picture to post of my own I thought that I would share this one....

Rain + Freezing Weather + Stairs = ICE!
The following story is one of those that was SO not funny at the time, is maybe kind of funny now, and I am sure will be funny tomorrow.
I was going to leave the house early this morning before work to make a quick run by Wal-Mart. This meant that I had to leave by 7am. I got ready in plenty of time, gathered my book bag, purse, lunch and two bills I had to drop in the mail box and headed into the freezing cold.
Since it was 7am it was still somewhat dark outside, and I was in a hurry. Well, as soon as my foot hit the first step heading downstairs from our apartment I quickly realized that it was VERY icy. Well, the rest is history. I feel down the stairs. Every. Single. One. *sigh* SO NOT FUN. I must say that it hurt and beyond it just hurting it scared the living tar out of me!
All is well though and it is ok if you want to laugh. I am almost to the point of laughing although I do have a very sore low back, bum and upper legs. I am sure that I will survive though.
Needless to say, I did not make it to Wal-Mart.
