Shopping. Jobs. Turkey.

Last weekend some friends and I went to Allen, Texas to go shopping at an Outlet Mall. It was a lot of fun to have a girls day and take a little "Road Trip". I also got some new Jeans (at Gap Outlet) and a really cute scarf and sunglasses at (Charlotte Russe Outlet).

Here is a picture of us girls. (Stole this from Leslie.)

For those of you who have been praying for me regarding the job interview that I had at the State Capitol a few weeks ago I heard yesterday that he hired someone else. It was disappointing but I am ok. The person that he hired was a girl he has known for a while who also grew up in his district. It is hard to compete with that. I am still looking though and got some information that helped me see that my resume is filtering throughout the building which is encouraging. Just waiting now on what God has next. I know He has something it is just to hard to see at times. Trusting is a constant lesson that I am learning. I think that I have "Learned" and then something else comes along. It is a good stretch and faith builder though.

1 Peter 1:6 " So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while."

Thanks for giving me this reminder Hannah. :)

I can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is basically here. Looking forward to seeing family that we do not get to see often! I am ready for some turkey too! :)

Happy (Pre) Thanksgiving to you all! :)

Hello blogger world!

It has been a long time since I have posted anything I know. Do you ever feel like life is so busy you don’t even know how to tell someone about it? Well, I have felt that way recently.
Here is my pathetic attempt:

Last week I spent a good 3 hours of my Wednesday afternoon painting a scripture verse on my brother Justin’s bedroom wall. I wish that I had a picture but I don’t. It is Jeremiah 17:7 though: “Blessed is the man who trusts the LORD, whose trust is in the LORD.” Not really that long of a verse but it took a whopping 3 hours and my arm was killing me. It is a lot harder then you would think. Especially since his walls have a heavier texture on them. I think that I was pretty tense the whole time and so it made my arm hurt even worse. Although I must say that it looked pretty darn good when I was done and I felt very accomplished! :)

This past Thursday we had a 25th anniversary party for my mom and dad. It went so well! We had been planning it for quite some time and we were so thrilled with the outcome of it all and I think that they felt very honored and loved. It was a smaller event. Just a few close friends. Counting the 6 kids and my mom and dad there were only 25 there but it was perfect. My dad has never been a fan of big groups and so I think they really enjoyed the “smallness” of the event. It was so wonderful to be able to take that time to honor them and just show them how wonderful we think they are and tell them what an awesome example they are to us. 25 years! That is so great!

Friday night was “Girls night!" I love that time with some of my girlfriends ot just be able to get together and talk “girl talk”. Then on Saturday I went out with two girlfriends again for lunch and went to “An Affair of The Heart”. It was a really great time!

Today (Sunday) Has been a WONDERFULLY lazy day. Britt and I have just been able to enjoy each other’s company today and it has been so relaxing for us. Life has been so, “Go! Go! Go!” recently that it has felt like we have not had time to breath so today was a “breath of fresh air” needless to say.

I hope a happy start to the week for you all!

.Photos.

Two of my friends, Hannah and Alisha, and myself went to downtown OKC for our third year in a row to go eat, be girls, laugh and have our ever famous "photo shoot". It was so much fun. My dear friend Hannah is super talented when it come to photography and she took some pictures of me and Alisha while we were downtown. I just love the way that some of them turned out.

Hannah is actually starting her photography business back up and she is specializing in "Girls". Her sister Lydia is teaming up with her and doing the make-up for the girls. The whole package: Pictures, clothing changes, a CD of your pic's edited and Make-over is $200. I don't know about you but I cannot find a price like that and get a package like that anywhere these days. You should really check it out!

Although Hannah specializes is "Girls" she is also willing to do couples. I know that as Christmas approaches I would consider something like that for sure for Britt and I. Everyone likes to receive a Christmas card in the mail with a pretty picture on it! ;)

So - If you are interested and have a facebook you should search "Life Encapsulated Photography" and become a fan. If you do not have a facebook and want more information then ask me or email Hannah at: life_encapsulated@yahoo.com

Now... take a look at these rockin' pictures she took! ;) hehe...
